Sometimes the hardest lesson in love is realizing that if someone truly wants to stay, you’ll never have to beg them to.
“Stay” is a song I wrote about learning to stop forcing love, stop chasing what’s already pulling away, and finally accept that real love chooses you freely. It came from that quiet moment of clarity where you understand that holding on tighter won’t make someone love you more, and sometimes the kindest thing you can do for yourself is let go.
At its core, this song is about emotional surrender and self-respect. It’s about trusting that if love is real, it will stand beside you without pressure, without pleading, and without losing yourself in the process. I wrote “Stay” as a reminder that love should feel mutual, not forced, and that even if someone leaves, you can still walk forward with your heart intact.
